For the 10th Disquiet project, which involves remixing someone elses work. I was in two minds from which project to select my source; I never managed to complete the 6th one, but I couldn't find a submission which I both liked and seemed remixable.
I decided to look at other projects I'd since completed, but wasn't able to do at the time, which brought me to the 1st and 3rd. After browsing for a while, the first project seemed most suitable, and I picked out Jason Charney's "Winter Sliver (Sketch)". I named my version after one of the Sliver cards from Magic: The Gathering, because I am a colossal nerd.
The process was fairly straightforward; I cut up the original into manageable (and useful) parts, and arranged them in conjunction with some additional ambient samples I had, applying VST effects where appropriate. I used Sound Forge and Acid, as usual.
