For Disquiet Junto, assignment 0004. This is (nominally) a remix of Marcus Fischer's "Nearly There", using 6 of the 10 parts provided (#1-4, 9, and 10, for other participants' reference).

I deliberately did not listen to the original track before finishing work on this; that is often my method when working on a remix. I undertook the project fairly rapidly and finished it in a single session, without worrying too much if there were some small mistakes; with the Junto work, while I don't rush the assignments, I prefer to try and do them in a reasonably quick and concentrated way, which can mean taking a "warts and all" approach.

I felt a more ambient (though still quite experimental) piece was in order this time; both the title, Indian vocal sample, and thematic elements of the track were inspired by Joseph Campbell's "Myths of Light: Eastern Metaphors of the Eternal".
